US Open
LIV Golf has been overshadowing things of late. But I did enjoy watching Rory win The Canadian Open.

Some of the LIV boys are teeing up. Crowd will be vocal and the course tough. Think it's wide open. Usual few ew for value (10 places).

Sam Burns 25/1

Niemann 33/1

Power 90/1

Zalatoris 28/1

Re: US Open
I've gone for...

Horschel @ 40-1
Homa @ 40-1
Ancer @ 50-1

All are fairly consistent and capable of winning. I hope at least two out of three give me a run for my money.

The sensible bet is Fitzpatrick who won the amateur championship on the Open course and has been in very good form recently. He's just so dull and rarely contends for the win on Day 4 in spite of his regular top 10/20 finishes.

Re: US Open
I cant see past the top 3 in the betting of Rory, JT and Scottie..... all playing well and on their day no one else gets close this season.

My EW punts will be Fitzpatrick, Homa and Zalatoris.

Just hope Smith doesnt win as first major in a while i've not backed him

Re: US Open
They won't, but I'd love one of the LIV golf lot to win it.

For no other reason than to stick a massive middle finger up at the hypocritical cunt British media who were happy to sun themselves and live on Saudi hospitality while covering the European tour event there for 3 years, say virtually nothing about the Saudis owning a football club, but have spent the past two months virtue signalling on a daily basis and providing more publicity to an event they claim to dislike than it ever would have got otherwise.

Or say anything about China, with it's outstanding human rights record, hosting the Olympics

I think all sports are tainted by bad money and it gets conveniently ignore.
I suppose LIV is the pure 100% version.
No doubt Sky's outrage comes from as much of a threat to its pay for view cartel, than the moral angle.

It might be interesting this week.

Back shaufele after day 2, but am hoping he loses to fitzpatrick here.

Been a proper to and fro this, great viewing.

Nice to have a final round of a major with a few in contention. Would be great to see Fitzpatrick get the job done.

Re: US Open
Liv seems to be lifting the play of this tour. Rorys finish in Canada was the best this year, until today and now the US Open setting up a great finish

Re: US Open
What a huge putt from Fitzpatrick. He got lucky with a great lie after hitting it way right, but he took full advantage. Still all to play for though. He needs to keep his cool.

Wow that shot from Fitz is one of best ever seen

Re: US Open
Different class that, pure adrenalin.

The 75 notes would have been nice, but I think this will be better.

Fucking love English/British players winning the US based majors.

In fact any European is always nice and gets me up the the ryder cup.

Re: US Open
Delighted for him. Superb performance and a lovely little stat that he joins Nicklaus as the only people to have won the US amateur and the US Open on the same course.
You don't have to hit it miles

Re: US Open
Great scenes at the end there - made up for Fitzpatrick, seems a real genuine bloke. And the yanks will hate it!
